Health Warning
Photosensitive epilepsy
A very small number of people may have a seizure or lose consciousness when exposed to flashing lights or certain images on a screen, even with no history of seizures. The game contains muzzle flashes, sharp camera movement from recoil and rapid changes of the picture.
Stop playing immediately and see a doctor if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, convulsions, disorientation or involuntary movements. If you or anyone in your family has had a seizure, consult a doctor before playing.
Volume
Gunshots in the game are sharp and loud, as on a real range. Start at a moderate volume, especially with headphones, and avoid long sessions at high volume: it can damage your hearing.
While playing
- Play in a well-lit room at a comfortable distance from the screen.
- Take a break every hour, even if you feel fine.
- If your eyes, hands or wrists get tired, or camera movement makes you feel sick, stop and rest.
The game and real firearms
Double Alpha simulates the rules and scoring of a sport. It does not teach real firearm handling and does not replace training with an instructor. On a real range, follow only the safety rules and the commands of the range officer.
